Lake/Beach– Covering 250 Acres of clean water, and 140 acres of dedicated green space, the gated community of Candlewood is known for its exceptional water quality and peaceful atmosphere. Averaging approximately 30’ in depth, this lake is the base for regular fishing tournaments of all ages, and home to avid boaters who partake in kayaking, paddle boarding, skiing, tubing, and sailing! Offshore Amenities – At Candlewood Lake residents will find a Lodge that has a small library and available for large event rentals. At the lodge there is also a basketball court, tennis court and outdoor pool. The community also has several parks including Wil Blue Park and the South Wood Walking Trail where residents can cycle or job at their hearts content while getting a fresh taste of nature. Candlewood also has a separate RV camping area that has its own community center, pool, basketball court and tennis court.
Nearby Activities - Candlewood is only minutes away Mt Gilead State Park which has 7 different trails covering over 6 miles as well as an addition lake available for non-mechanical boating. Nearby is also “Splatter Park” an outdoor paintball park for great family, and Jellystone Camp Resort which has heated swimming pools, giant slides and tons of fun for the whole family. Not to forget the nearby Heart of Ohio Trail which covers over 16 miles, as well Mid-Ohio Balloon adventure where family and friends can enjoy hot air balloon rides through the heart of Morrow County.
