Shellcamp Pond was formed in 1931 when a dam was built on Academy Brook. It is currently controlled by the New Hampshire Water division. Huckins Brook Flows into Shellcamp and Academy Brook is the outlet, both which make for great kayaking adventures. Shellcamp Pond boasts about 145 acres of crystal-clear water, average depth is 11 ft with a maximum depth of 15 ft. There is a public Boat launch on the Northeastern shore that can accommodate all types of watercrafts. Fishing is prevalent with many species of fish populating the pond.
