Mill Pond, also known unofficially as Agawam Mill Pond, is a 150-acre pond located northwest of Union Pond, west and north of Spectacle Pond, west of Sandy Pond, and southwest of Glen Charlie Pond. Route 25 runs through the southwestern part of the pond, and the Exit 2 off-ramp from Route 25 eastbound lies along the shore en route to Glen Charlie Road, which runs along the pond's eastern shore. Mill Pond is a fertile artificial impoundment of the Agawam River. Route 25 bisects the pond, however it also has an abundance of wildlife that helps to make several areas pristine and very remote, especial given its close proximity to the southern urban environment. The southern end is almost completely comprised of residential areas whereas the northern end is made up of wooded areas and cranberry bogs that border the 6.2 miles of shoreline. Weeds are scant and not restrictive, except along the shore where some patched are found. Development is heavy along the central part of the pond on both the east and west shores. The entire northern end is undeveloped and privately owned by cranberry companies. The pond was once a stream that was dammed to provide water to the cranberry growers. The northern end becomes very shallow in a wooded area and gradually leads to the shoreline.
