Taft Pond is an 11 acre dam controlled reservoir with a  small tributary stream, Taft Pond Brook, which  is considered a cold water stream and contains known popolations of wild brook trout.    Taft Pond is a nature’s lovers paradise and allows fishing, swimming, skating, kayaing, sailing, Canoes and electric motor boating with speed restrictions.  You can access Upton State Forest, off of South St, for more recreation….. mountain biking, hiking, horse back riding, hunting, and cross-country skiing.
