One of the smaller lakes in the area that allows all power boating, except for Jet-ski's. There is a boat ramp on the Norfolk side near the beach (non-public). There is very little boat traffic on this lake and there are little weed issues. An Advisory Committee is appointed by Selectmen to facilitate lake management issues. They employ a drawdown most winters for weed control and dock maintenance/management. This is a very quiet lake that has a NH pond feel. Most of the homes are cottages and relatively affordable. It's a beautiful lake for a kayak ride around the shoreline as the wildlife is abundant. The water quality has always been good and is tested by the town regularly. Nearly every spring, the residents gather for a lake clean-up day.
