Chebacco Lake is a popular boating attraction. The lake tends to experience heavy boat traffic in the spring and summer. Aquatic vegetation is abundant around the entire shoreline out to a depth of about 10-feet. Transparency is limited to about 6-feet. The shoreline is heavily developed with a mix of cottages and improved homes. The lake has many coves to explore and therefore is great for kayaking and a slow pontoon boat ride. There are many good fishing spots also and local anglers have very good luck here. The lake is irregularly shaped and the Department of Conservation & Recreation manages the lake. The Chebacco Lake & Watershed Association publishes a quarterly newsletter that can be found on-line.
