Lake Roper is one of the overlooked lakes in Windermere. It is easy to do because it sets off of the road and it doesn't have a famous subdivision on its shores. Lake Roper stretches just under half of a mile from east to west. North to south gets up to 1,500 feet for a direct line of sight. There are a couple of canals and the far western portion is still wooded. The lake has a total surface area of 38 acres and a mean depth of 14 feet.
