Bear Lake is a 311 acre skiable lake located in Apopka, FL in the Central Florida area.  In the very bottom left corner of Seminole County, this spring fed lake has an average depth of 12 feet with a maximum depth of 37 feet. 

Fishermen will find a variety of fish including redbreast sunfish, carp, largemouth bass, redear sunfish, carp, catfish, bream/bluegill and crappie here. Whether you’re fly fishing, bait casting or spinning, your chances of getting a bite here are good.

Bear Lake is a very private lake.  It is 100% developed with approximately 180 houses surrounding the lake.  Homeowners directly on this beautiful, clear lake can enjoy any number of water sports and good fishing with their own private boat docks if desired.  Communities around the lake can also have access.  Being a resident in one of these communities does not guarantee access. However, residents must apply for one of the limited memberships through the Bear Lake Clubhouse, which currently has an extensive waiting list. 

A great advantage to living on or near Bear Lake is the location! You can explore so many parts of Central Florida by being a short drive to Cranes Roost Park, the RDV Sportsplex, and the 180-acre Northwest Recreation Complex.  It is also so close to Wekiwa Springs State Park, Downtown Orlando, and not to mention all of the Orlando theme parks of Walt Disney World, Sea World and Universal Studios.

Ramp Comments: There are only 2 ramps onto Bear Lake. One is located at the Bear Lake Clubhouse and requires a membership for use. The other is located off of Cecelia Dr. for homeowners on the lake to get their boats on and off the lake.

Directions: from I-4, exit SR 414 heading west and turn right onto Bear Lake Rd.
