Carbuncle Pond is a 39 acre pond in the Nicholas Farm Management Area. There is a concrete plank boat ramp here and two gravel parking lots. The shoreline of the pond is natural and wooded. Electric trolling motors only on the pond. This pond is stocked with trout several times throughout the year.The Trestle Trail, which is part of the East Coast Greenway runs past the south end of Carbuncle Pond. Directions: On route 14 (Plainfield Pike) look for a small road taking off to the south about a mile west of the junction with route 117. If you come to the Connecticut line you have gone about 0.8 miles too far. The boat ramp is at the end of this road.
