This is an outstanding wide-open recreational lake that offers plenty of room for powerboats and also has great coves for fishing. Some boating traffic will get heavy on summer days. The lake is located just south of Route 140 in Wrentham. Weeds have been treated in the past and continue to be monitored. The town employs a winter drawdown in November that drops the lake several feet. Public Beach is Sweatt Beach: Wrentham, Plainville, Norfolk residents only with passes. On the shore is “Lake Pearl Luciano’s”, a 15,000 SF banquet hall for all kinds of events (www.lakepearl.com). There is one outlet to the lake at Eagle Brook dam, located in the northwest corner. Just down the road is the popular “Wrentham Village Premium Outlets” (http://www.premiumoutlets.com/outlets/outlet.asp?id=10).
