Hickory Hills Lake is 319 acres with varied water depths and is the largest private lake in Massachusetts. Five hundred forty seven (547) homes frame this beautiful private lake and many of those homeowners are shareholders of the Hickory Hills Landowners, Inc. (HHLI). This supports the formal mechanisms that allow for the democratic management of how the community is to operate. Within this atmosphere, they work together to help create and maintain a safe and enjoyable lake environment. There are three fully maintained public beaches for residents of the HHLI community; the main beach also has basketball and volleyball courts. There is 52 acres of undeveloped land that a team of hard working volunteers have mapped and prepared as hiking trails. There is a boat docking area available to shareholders who do not own lake front property. Access to the lake is restricted to residents, through the issuing of boat stickers and identification cards. $300.00 Mandatory Association fee. There are protective covenants and deed restrictions that can be reviewed here: http://singlepropertysites.com/display/images/properties/11656/HickoryHills.doc.
