Echo Lake (aka Pascoag Reservoir) is listed on-line as a 10 hp motor restriction at the boat ramp between Memorial Day and Labor Day (for the fishermen that come in). But... It's a large, fully recreational lake with powerboats on almost every homeowners lakefront property with no horsepower restrictions. They tube and water ski. It is tricky in some spots due to rocks – so, you’ve got to know the layout of the lake. It is great fishing! It is mostly a quieter lake with pontoon boats and fishermen or people just riding around the lake. At this DEM access site there is a gravel parking lot and a cement plank boat ramp that provides access to the 350-acre Pascoag Reservoir. This is a popular lake in the summer and for peace and quiet your best bet is to arrive with the fisherman in the early morning. The shoreline is heavily developed. The reservoir is large enough that it can easily get windy, even in the summer. Nearest Town Center: Pascoag. Water quality is excellent (as determined by the URI Watershed Watch).

Water Quality: No Known Issues
Vegetation Growth: Moderate
Non-native Species: Eurasian Watermilfoil (Myriophyllum Spicatum), Fanwort (Cabomba Caroliniana)

Ramp Comments: At this DEM access site there is a gravel parking lot and a cement plank boat ramp that provides access. This is a site for launching boats from trailers. Boat ramps can normally be used to launch canoes and kayaks but please do your best to keep the boat ramp clear for boat trailers.
Parking Spaces: Less than 10

Directions: From Route 44, 2.3 miles west of Chepachet, take Jackson Schoolhouse Road north (that's a right turn if you are coming from Chepachet). Go 1/2 mile and turn right onto Maroney Road/Widow Smith Road. This turn comes just after you cross an arm of Pascoag Reservoir on a causeway. The boat ramp is on the right, 200 feet down Maroney Road.
