Shawnee Hills  is a wonderfully quiet private lake community located in Jamestown, Ohio. Being equal distance from Columbus and Cincinnati of 1hr and 15 minutes it is an easy commute as a weekend home. And being only 30 minutes from Dayton this lake could easily be a primary residence. Either way it is close enough to still get a taste of lakefront living from all three locations!

Lake/Beach –This beautiful lake is 250 acres, has no horsepower limit and is open to all boating activities including tubing, skiing, kayaking, canoeing and of course jet skis! The water of this community is of high quality with swimming allowed, especially from the private communities’ well maintained beach located by the association office which is open to member use with a playground, volleyball court and picnic areas.

Offshore Amenities – Shawnee Hills community has half a dozen waterfront common areas located around the lake which are open to members for fishing and to launch kayaks and canoes as well as to have community friendly activities. The association also has an extra large recreational park right behind the association office open to members and large enough for almost any activity!

Nearby Activities –  The lake community is only 25 minutes away from Glen Helen Nature Preserve in Yellow Springs, encompassing 10,000 acres of beauty reached through 20 miles of foot trails. John Bryan State Park is also only a few miles away, and since Shawnee Hills is only 30 minutes from Dayton all of the city’s activities are within reach including but not limited to Wright State University, Dayton Aviation Heritage National Historical Park, and Fraze Pavillion, a 4300 seat Amphitheatre.
