Lake Roaming Rock – also known as Roaming Shores, is the largest private lake in Ohio. The lake is located in Ashtabula County, only 1 hour away from Cleveland. This wonderful lake is filled with great views and is a haven for boating enthusiasts. With a great community and a fun atmosphere this lake is perfect for the lakefront living lifestyle!

 

Lake / Beach / Marina – Lake Roaming Rock is the largest private lake in Ohio at 550 acres with 22 miles of shoreline, a 7 acre ski loop, and a depth of 30 feet. This pristine boating lake does have size limits but no HP limit and it does allow jet skis. The community has 2 separate beaches; one on the west side with a sandy beach area, volleyball, picnic tables, pavilions, grills and a concession stand. The 2nd beach is on the east side with a playground, fishing areas, temporary docks, and sand volleyball. The lake also has a full-service marina and store offering fuel, fishing supplies and storage.

 

Offshore Amenities – The community of Roaming Shores has several offshore amenities that are enjoyable for the whole family. Next to both beach areas are 2 pools, one for adults and one for children, and all pools are heated. There are also multiple basketball courts, volleyball courts, and baseball fields; these sports activities are located throughout the community at designated park areas that also have picnic tables, pavilions and barbeque grills. Roaming Shores also has a 3,000 sq ft clubhouse used for meetings and social events, as well as the Snack Shack, a large concession stand filled with lunch items and ice cream located close to Beach 1. The community also has a privately owned and operated lakefront bar and grill, Paradise Bay, that features good food and a fun lakefront atmosphere.    

 

Nearby Activities – There are also several activities nearby for residents to enjoy including the Western Reserve Greenway Trail, a 43 mile long trail that runs through the county, and part of it runs through Roaming Shores for residents to use. Located just a few minutes away are two wildlife areas with hiking and camping opportunities; Orwell Wildlife Area and New Lyme Wildlife Area. There are also two golf courses within reasonable driving distance; Hickory Grove Golf Club and the Hemlock Springs Golf Club.
