INDIAN LAKE is a highly sought after 13,000 acre reservoir community located within Logan County, encompassing the towns of Russells Point, Huntsville and Lakeview. These historical towns have everything to offer including shops, hardware, boat shop and rental, entertainment, restaurants and everything a homeowner needs! LAKE/MARINA/BEACHES- Spanning 5800 acres and averaging a depth of 6-8 feet, Indian Lake is most famous for its regular fishing tournaments, prized for its bass, bluegill and crappie, and even being nationally recognized for its stock of Saugeye. Hunting and trapping are also hugely popular at the lake with a vast population of deer, elk, turkey, and duck, and is home to the state record for largest trapped beaver. With no horsepower restrictions on boats, boat enthusiasts consistently use the lake for tubing, jet skiing, kayaking, sailing, and cruising giving residents some of the best lake views in the area! As a hub of winter recreation the Lake also offers a vast amount of ice skiing, ice fishing, and snowmobiling. Being a public lake there are several full service Marinas conveniently located for residents and their every boating need. For community members who prefer more personal fun in the water there are two public beaches, Old Field Beach and Fox Island Beach, with 1200 feet of public swimming area as well as 3 more Boat Swim areas where boaters can anchor and enjoy a peaceful swim!

OFFSHORE AMENITIES- Indian Lake contains 8 picnic areas around the lake containing volleyball courts, basketball courts, miniature golf and fishing jetties. A 2.5 mile paved path designed for joggers, cyclists, and walkers begins at Old Field Beach and runs parallel to the shoreline of Indian Lake allowing users to see panoramic views of the lake as well as use several resting areas. In addition to sport related activities the community also offers events focused on dance, food, history of the lake and special events including the Annual Boat Show, Maple Syrup Festival, and the Indian Lake Beach Spectacular!        

NEARBY ACTIVITIES- Near the campground entrance at ST RT 235 is the entrance to Cherokee Trail, a 3-mile walk through bushy habitat, where the sight of whitetail deer, muskrat, fox and squirrels are common. The trail also runs through a wooded wetland area containing one of the oldest Swamp Cottonwood Trees recorded in Ohio. Located 20 minutes away are the Zane Shawnee Caverns, a show cave created through glacial formation, as well as the Shawnee Woodland Native American Museum, one of the few museums owned and operated by a Native American Tribe. Also within a 20 minute drive is Mad River Mountain, a ski and snowboard resort that contains 23 various skill levels, 3 terrain parks, 2 beginner areas and a tubing park; as well as the Armstrong Air and Space Museum, and Marmom Valley Farms with horseback riding open to the public.
