White Island Pond is a system of two ponds in Plymouth and Wareham, Massachusetts. The area of the western basin is 122 acres and the area of the eastern basin is 159 acres. The pond is located east of Glen Charlie Pond in Wareham and, in Plymouth, south of Halfway Pond, southwest of Fawn Pond and Deer Pond, and west of Ezekiel Pond. White Island Shores lies along this pond. The White Island Pond Conservation Alliance, Inc. is dedicated the the restoration and preservation of this precious resource. Considered one of the best lakes in MA, it is fully recreational. There are 4 Lake Associations.  3 are neighborhood associations.  One is for the entire lake.  The overall group is diligent in keeping the lake clean. White Island Pond is a considered a 'Great Pond'.  The state tests the water often. But it is spring- fed so it nearly cleans itself. White Island Shores Community Assoc. (WISCA) is the largest on the lake.  The sponsor kids dances, ice cream socials, spaghetti suppers, Fourth of July events and festivities.  The association maintains a private beach also.
