Lake Noquochoke, Reed Rd. in Dartmouth: Like Lake St., Noquochoke is a network of ponds located on both sides of the road. It’s fishable from shore, but you can also put-in a car-top boat or canoe. Like most warmwater ponds, the standard species are largemouth bass, pickerel, panfish and bullhead. Even though they receive heavy fishing pressure, don’t overlook the bridges where the water runs under the road. The water is funneled through and fish often seek out moving water, which tends to be oxygenated and also carries bait with it. When approaching the shore and bridges, step lightly and avoid casting a shadow which will spook fish.
