Goose Pond is a coldwater mountain lake that was created when a quarry and meadow were filled in. The pond is crystal clean and pristine and has a small island located in the center. Some milfoil can be found near the boat ramp and other shallow areas. Most homes are set back from the shore. Most of the east and north shores are undeveloped and privately owned. The Lee Sportsman’s Association holds an annual ice fishing derby in February.
